Kenny, I get a lot of those nights too. Mine as a result of the head injury, sleep doesn't come easy. Too bad you don't use an instant messanger like Yahoo Instant Messanger, ICQ or MSN Messanger. They are great for those late nights.

Hey Kenny I had to swing around and come in at 4:30 AM, talk about tossing and turning. My wife goes to sleep as soon as her head hits the pillow, boy, am I jealous.

Mel, I understand the different shifts and the little bride's head hitting to pillow and she is out. I never could sleep like that. If I fell to sleep then an hour or hour and a half wide awake.

Bob, On MSN instant messenger it is
kencarves@hotmail.com

Anyways, that is where the little bride and I talk to our friends in Australia.

Ken, I just found your thread and it looks like you have lots of mid-night oil and into the wee hours company here. Marci that's a great chat room idea maybe the WCI boss will let us have one. Please! Course when would everyone sleep?????
Ken, your wife must have sharp ears or your really noisy when your carving--forget the power tools. OK, how about a small glass of milk before you go to bed (the first time or while up the second/third time). Yeah I know some folks can't have milk how about a glass of wine. Another thought or question is do you nap in the evening hours. My hubby naps in the evening--has no problem going to sleep but awakes between 2am and 4am. He gets up takes two Bufferin and goes back to sleep. If he doesn't nap in the early evening then most times he can sleep most of the night.
I read that you shouldn't work on the computer before retiring to bed, it's suppose to be to stimulating. Starts those thoughts going around and around in your brain.
Well, me thinks you'll have lot's of company in the chat room.
Kathy

No napping in the afternoon or evening. However the little bride does both. That is the only time plus at night she ain't carrying that "Dang club".

Milk, Yuck! Wine, nah, I could be a wino, so don't indulge.

The sleep problem icomes from my father, he was a light sleeper and was up at all times of the night.

Mostly, I don't do a lot of carving at night, eyes are bad enough in the daylight. But then, maybe would come up with something special. heheh
Then to, could be the shift work changing every week. after 35 years of it, could have an affect on the old bode.

Thanks for the suggestions Kathy, I appreciate them.

HI HO< stay away from those nasty sites and ya would be soooooo stimulated .
