That's really cool girlfriend! I'm so glad I got to be there. I loved all the kids' responses. We need more stories that feature positive stories and the people that make it that way. You're dads love for the kids showed! I hope to be able to attend again next year! You have a nice little community and everyone seemed very caring. Blessings! Now more coffee!

Cheers Sharon! (((raising my coffee mug towards the west ))) Next year, ya wanna vend with me? ![]() I have decided that I will be sending in pictures and little positive stories weekly. A View From Our Community. I am definately going to do my best to add any kind of positivity to all the negativity that we we read and see. There is so much good out there, it boggles my mind that its the bad and ugly that are always the focus. I was walking to pick my kids up from school the other day, there was a row of school busses, fall trees all around and the only kids ready to go home were the pre schoolers. They were already lined up at the buss doors. It was just adorable! I was so glad to see it! It was a very small town, Rockwell-esque image. THAT is a picture worth going in the paper, or the little boy who was walking with his Grandpa across the post office parking lot, trying to match his steps to grandpa's, THOSE are great things! I have had enough of the criminal aspect. The one thing I put in my article was that it does not take a great effort on anyones part, but just a small effort from everyone. I will do my part, and try to hold the positive light.

I'd love to vend with you! Love positive stories. Maybe we can all share positive ones! When I get down in the dumps, instead of dwelling on the negative like I used to so often, now I try to find something positive to fill my brain with.I can still get negative, but being optomistic and positve is so much nicer.Or thinking of something or way to help someone out and then trying to do it for them. That's part of what life should be about!

Way to go Keoma!! Congrats on your fantastic idea becoming a huge success. Been lurking quietly out here because I have been busy in a production of Mame and other fall family activities for the last several weeks. Haven't touched or thought about carving other than my occasional detours in here to lurk. Anyway - well done! ChuckT |

Keoma, I have mist in my eyes! Isn't it just the best feeling to make a difference in a child's life...you get back more than you give, that is for sure. Blessings.

Kemoa, Couldn't agree with you more about the news media. We need to encourage each other to great things, not always gossip about each others dirty laundry. It is the inspiring things we need to pass on to the kids. I get a small slice of what you have seen each month when I take a bunch of eighth graders to a local nursing home. The laughs, stories, sharing, smiles, and ruckus does us all good. May your story encourage others and the news media to look for that kind of good stuff. John K Karver.
