Default Ohio carvers?

I know i met a few of you already but i've been wondering, How many carvers do we have in Ohio?
I know some folks don't like to post were in the state they are and that's ok with me, I'd just like to know how many are here.
As per my profile i'm in Knox county Ohio in the beautiful town of Mt.Vernon.

Ok Buckeye's sound off.

Hi MIke from another Ohio Mike. I live in Bellevue, in north-central Ohio, and carve with Mike Volker's group in Norwalk. We are in a hot-bed of wood carving with lots of instruction, shows, seminars, and good carvers. Let's hear from more. Mike

Does it count if you were a Buckeye 29 years ago?? Raised in Holmes county, moved to NC in 1977, and on to TN in 2003. Funny that when I lived there I didn't know there was a carver in the state, since I started carving I found out that OH is full of carvers. How does that work??????????

Welcome Buckeyes, Bob

Carver from Wooster Ohio. I haven't posted much but try and follow this board regularly. I think I have learned a lot just by listening. Belong to a small club in Wooster and a bigger one in Cleveland but that $3 gas price is killing the drive to Cleveland.

Born and raised in Sandusky. School brought me to Michigan and I wish I would have started carving when I lived in Ohio.

I'm in North Olmsted (suburb of Cleveland). Belong to the Great Lakes Wood Carvers here.
If you're in the area, we have a great carving show ("Art in Wood") Sept. 23 & 24th. Stop in and see us. You folks a little further south of me, do you belong to the club that meets at the Nature Center in Wilmot?

RobK, I think most of the other Buckeyes are too far south for the Wilmot club, but I may be wrong. I was up to visit relatives a couple of years ago and stopped at the Wilmot club, a great group of carvers, but aren't we all! I've not been up when they have their show, but it sounds very nice from what I see in Chip Chats, may have to plan to hit the area at show time.

Heck, i didn't even know there was any carving groups here in ohio but i think with the fuel prices that cleveland is a little far north for me. But looking for one near mt. vernon if there is one.
