One moment it is peaceful and sunny and the next... well these photos say it all! No power, no satelite, no computer.... Just a few dings it could have been sooo much worse.

Yikes.. I dont think I could stand being in a hail storm like that... sheesh... It had to have been loud. Can a garden even survive something like that? We do need rain...so if you have some extra to send up this way....

Wow! That was some hail!! I hope your damage was minimal. I have been through one hailstorm that wrecked the roof of the house, and did a lot of damage to garage doors and cars that were left outside. But...we didn't have hailstones THAT big!!

Wanda-Hope your car was under something. One photo showed what looked like funnel forming? Storm here knocked down all of my sweetcorn, snapped the stalks,it was over my head and i'm 6'5.

Wanda, hope this is the last of these storms. I have gotten two calls this week from Fayetteville warning me that they are bad and headed my way. Luckily, we have dodged the hail and live just under the eastern brow of a mountain so we miss most of the wind. I thought of you as I watched them on nexrad as the radar station is in Fort Smith.

Hope it did not do too much damage to your RV. I remember you said that y'all had to put a couple of hundred hours of work into it.

Phyllis, the west is dry but our ground is soaked. I am showing about 5 inches of rain here in the last 5 days.

Wanda, have you started on any of that wood yet?

Keep an eye on that radar....although these last storms have been so big all we can do is wait for it to be over.

Wow Wanda, some big hail. At least it sounds as if you're all safe and sound which is the main thing. Lots of rain here, but no big storms. Good luck.

I am sorry I didn't get back on sooner. We were busy cleaning up and still thanking our lucky stars. Although the hail was really big, there was not a lot of it. And yes we have dings in all our vehicles and our roof, but not enough to meet the deductables!!!

I have been in hailstorms before with much smaller hail that flattened everything. Believe it or not, my garden is in fairly good shape.

My ears felt like I had been sitting inside a kettle drum at a rock concert!

Thanks to all of you for your concern. Luckily the worst was the noise, the loss of power and NO INTERNET!!!!

Deb, Like I said, it could have been a whole lot worse. We expected the window to break at any moment from the sound of it. Just a few pock marks on the top of the truck and motorhome and a few in the roof. No where enough to even beat the deductable on the insurance.

I think the cloud afterwards scared me almost as much as the hail. There was sighting of a possible tornado just north of here after that. Nothing official though.

Thanks for caring. Wanda
