| | Off To New York!! Hi All! As many of you know I have been waiting for my application to go through for a guide dog. Well the good news is I leave for New York next Tuesday the 25th for 26 days. They have a couple of computer labs so I am going to try and set up email so I can keep up with everyone as much as possible. The name of the city I am going to is Yorktown Heights. It's 35 miles N of NY city. We do spend some time in the city training. I am looking forward to it it will be quite the travel challange for me first time by myself. If anyone lives in the area it would be an good chance to meet. I can give information if anyone is interested there are restrictions on visiting certain hours and days I think. But I will try and keep in touch. Not much carving this week trying to get ready and such. Let me know if anyone needs more info. Ron |

Best of luck, I hope this will be a good thing for you. I feel pretty certain that it will be a positive experience, no matter what.
Even though I have sight, one of the things I treasure most about being back East is the humidity and deep loamy smell of the forest, and that stuff is just growing all around you. Enjoy the smells.
It is just different than the West.
Best of luck in your travels.
Should we take up a collection for Kibbles for your new Dog?

| | Re: Off To New York!! Ron,
I love NY! What a place! Better than Disney, East or West! I have two Sons, twins, who live and work there. One's a fashion photographer (been in Vogue, Elle and all the rest) and the other is a very good artist, painting. If you would like their contact info, email me a p.m. and I'll send you their connections. Maybe you can get together for a night of Sushi and the town...they may keep you out until a few hours after dawn. I don't know their schedules, but I know they'd think taking you out on the town with models on all arms would be a great time!
