Looking for help. When I first started out on the forum I was getting notices on my email account of responses to threads I had begun or on which I had written. Lately I am not getting those email notices. I really would like to get them again. Have I pressed a button or switch somewhere that I need to reset? Not to good at finding those kinds of things on a computer. My son needs to get back from Iraq (April 30) to help me. In the meantime....

I was just noticing that myself. I found that I had a private message received that I wasn't aware of. I think this happened after WCI did an upgrade on the server. How about it WCI?

I have the same problem. I thought I was the only one. I could not get on to the forum for a few days last month then when I could get back on my password was no good anymore and I had to go through a bunch of steps to get my password back. I thought that was why I was not getting email.

Hi, Here's what I figured out.

1. Go to user CP at top left of this page in green bar. click on it.
2. Go to edit options left side box, click on it.
3. In the middle box there is Messaging and Notification box in that is Default thread subscription mode
4. Click on the arrow in the little box there. and chose the option you want. There are 5 options to choose from, but it sounds like you want the instant e-mail notification

I'm not very good at this stuff, i hope it works for you.

That's the process. One thing you have to watch is to make sure the messages from the forum are not being dumped into your spam folder. I'd add Webmaster@woodcarvingillustrated.com to your address book!

I have had the problem for quite some time. I did mention it before they redid the site and others had the same problem I thought It would change but no luck so far and I think I have everything done correctly. ( My wife does tell me on occasion that I shouldn't try thinking)

I did all the things mentioned above. I did not get Robert's email contact which I would have expected to receive all things considered. Anything else to try?

I too only get about one out of ten notifications. Even after going into "User CP" and re entering and saving the correct information...
