Default New Years Resolutions? or goals?

The definition of resolution: 1: the act or process of resolving: as a: the act of analyzing a complex notion into simpler ones : something that is resolved <made a resolution to mend my ways> b: firmness of resolve

I don't put much stock in resolutions, because it sounds so defeating from the very word. If you simply resolve to do something, it sounds like a forced march. I prefer to partake in the gentle art of goals.

My goals for 2009 are to take a carving class from Norsk studios in Wisconsin in September, to continue my residency program here in the gallery for artists, and add a foster children art studio program...grass roots art grant already accepted ! yeah!, and I intend on finishing the carvings in my house as well as put many new pieces in the gallery. That really should keep me busy. Oh, and I want to be more positive.

What are yours?
Christina
