| | New Software Hello everyone I just installed some new software on my computer that allows be to speak to a computer and I don't have to do anything. It's going to take be quite a while to get to use this to software. It takes whatever I say and puts it in and then it will read it back to me. I haven't figured it all out yet' do not have to type in more which makes it easier since I can't see the keys. I did not make it to the show in wichita whom today or yesterday because I could not find a sight guide to go with me so I stayed home and carved. I hope nobody minds me rambling while I play with this the software I have to be used to it. I'm sorry I missed the show today and yesterday but it could be helped and there will be another show some time I hope those that did attend had a good time. Well now everyone can read this and tell me how many mistakes I made in my speaking voice this software is real sensitive if he slur your words or anything it will place the word in which does not belongin there but it will get better as I go along in time.

| | Re: New Software Sorry you didn't get to attend the Carving Show this weekend. If we had of made it up there we both would have enjoyed the show. Guess we will have to wait till Lynn gets back. We had some software on here a couple of years ago called Dragon Speaks and it would type whatever you said. Problem was, It didn't know the proper English structure of a sentence. HAHAHAHAHA well, I don't either. Best to you and hope you are doing well. |

| | Re: New Software Ron, looks like your new software is working well! The voice to text programs are much improved now. I know a few years ago these programs could come up with some doozies for words. Try cussing at it just for fun. It's hilarious

| | Re: New Software Hi Ron, Your message came through loud & clear. Could you give the name of the software. I hate typing, although I'm getting a little better at it. Dick

| | Re: New Software Ron,
Wow! Congratulations! It looks great, reads great! Very understandable, fewer errors than most of us make that can see the keys! What a great tool. I'm happy for you!

| | Re: New Software This software is called VIA VOICE by IBM. This is in the experimental stage right now. It is being designed for vision impaired. I got this through my low vision specialist to test run for them. In 6 mo I have to give them a report on how I felt it worked. You do have to be careful what you say it. If it don't understand you it will make up it's own words. |
