Default New place in Idaho & tree ID?

Morning everyone. Well we did it. got a place in Idaho. Small piece of property but thats okay, I've decided I'm getting too old for all the animal stuff so will only be taking a few special ones. Anyway, there is a 20x30 shop, needs lots of fixing up but is sound. Should close about mid Sept. I posted a couple of pictures. In one theres a big tree. Anyone know what it is? There are several of these in all sizes. There are also several huge Maples.
The next few months should be interesting

nancy,

not sure what the tree is but i sure like the look of the house. 20x30 shop that is a nice size.plenty of room to spread all your projects out.
how much land is with the house?

congrats on finding a place.

Nancy:
Here's a link that might help you identify the trees:

Congrays Nancy. Looks like a fine place. Paved street in front with curb. Had a place like that on the outskirts of town. thing someone liked it better than we did and was willing to pay the price.

Have fun with the shop. Lucky!

Nice place Nancy that looks like a really nice house. I would almost bet my life that is a walnut tree. Looks like the walnuts that grow in this part of the country.

Well,
If I get a guess also, I believe you have locust trees.

The leaves and the statement: (There are several of these in all sizes).

If they have thorns, that is what you have.

Well, I can't give you too much information because believe it or not, I haven't even been there yet! My brother-in-law lives in that town and knows the area, he checked the place out several times, took a house inspector there, question the police about crime in the area, sent us about a hundred photos, so being the very picky guy he is, we trust his judgement and did it. It is right in town but on a quite street. It only has a standard lot. My animal days are over except for one pair of chickens that I can't part with but will keep hidden and a pot-bellied pig, Hoover. Actually this isn't against zoning as long as the are not a problem to neighbors. So I consider myself as going into retirement, raising and showing animals has been part of my life forever. I need the change though. I will have lots of time for carving which has become a passion. The short time it will take to close the deal is because of paying cash and the seller is a Realtor so she can put it right though the whole process quickly.

Can't say I am going to miss this burnt up desert. Tired of looking at dirt. There is more rain and snow up there, colder in the winter but not as horribly hot in the summer.

Lots of work to do once we get there. The house is in great shape but has LOTS of paneling!!!! Good thing I like to dry wall

Don't know if there are thorns on these trees. ed another pic of the leaves that I cropped out of a photo of one of the small trees.
