Default Need info

I was asked, by a woodcarving friend, if I knew who carved a small piece that had a hummingbird on one side and the face of a donkey when you flipped it to the other side.

Told her I was not familiar with this carving (sounds intriguing though). I told her I would tap the greatest source of woodcarving knowledge around.

Anyone seen these and know the carver?

Hi Paul; I don't know whether HiHo intended to post a pattern or not but here's a pattern I picked up somewhere on the net. It's called a Hummule.
Cheers

Thanks folks, I would have web searched this topic; but, had no idea at all how to state my parameters. Hummule did it.

The other day, I was in Peter Engler's Woodcarving shop (Gand Village, Branson) and Laura Allison (resident carver) asked me about them. She had seen one being used on the end of a "fan pull" cord and was intrigued by them.

Anyway, thanks and for anyone visiting the Branson area stop by and talk to Laura. She has expanded the "side room" into pretty much a woodcarving supply station. A room full of carvings and a room full of supplies....heaven!
