Default my wife got me good on fathers day

I went to the store on sat. night and when I looked in my wallet I seemed like I was missing some money. but did not concern myself much. This morning My wife gave me a Fathers day card. It had all the lovie dovie things in it . inside there was 20.00 dollar bill with a note at the bottom of the card " I know its not much but take your wife out to eat with the money that I gave you " ( she got the money out of my wallet.) really funny.

I have been a very lucky man for a number of years. Not too long into our marriage (40 years ago) the Park Service sent me off on a law enforcement problem. Diana took over our finances and has continued to this day. I have no idea how much we budget for whatever. It will be a role reversal if that woman dies before I do. Now and then dollars appear in my billfold.....like magic.

It's terrible being a kept man.......but, you get over it in a few days!

Being a 'kept man' - does this mean she keeps you in tools?

This thread has jogged my memory a bit. It seems that with the younger generation the family finances arn't quite the same as ours and some of yours. In my family as in lots of yours, the money is "ours". In lots of the younger generations families; it's "mine" and/or "yours". Is this because so many of the younger folks both work?? I would think that there would be all kinds of problems when the money is "yours" and/or "mine". Tom H

You guys should complain! I have a buddy who is a KEPT MAN and has been through 4 wives. To hear him tell it they were all KEEPERS too. They kept the cars, the houses and the bank accounts. So much for being a kept man!
