Default My Website

Hi all things have been racing here, but we have been moving ahead. I told you I would post when we got our web site open , it isn't quite complete but I opened it anyway.

Take a look let me know what you think. Should have the background music up later tonight but like me it is a work in progress.

Lovely website, Ashbys,
Did you build it? I envy anyone who can put together a great site for themselves. Mine was built by a friend, and I love what she did. I am trying to learn the software she used so I can manage my site without pestering here for help in the future.

Your site is great!

Nice job on the site... Lot's of fun learning to program the site isn't it :>) I thought it would be easy, hours later I had my site done.

I really like your layout and your site. On firefox it is wider than the window though so I have to scroll to the right to see the whole site.

Thanks All, the music is up now Ron, we still have a couple of small issues, But the design and develope is strickly my sons. I think he did a good job and he has indeed learned a lot.

But we are firm belivers if we intend to do something to know all we can to do it so yes he has been put thrrough the mill. But it was worth it

Ash,
consider us poor folks with small monitors and dialup .
the music serges, and you get nothing but 3 notes at a time and is really slow loading, suggestion, make it an option..

you need to set an option of how wide the out put is, i run at 1024x768 and the screen is wider than what i can see on my computer almost 2 screens wide

Ash,
Great job on the site! I think the products presented were displayed well but I would HIGHLY recommend you rearrange the page so that scrolling to the right is not required as others have pointed out.
I think the music is nice but like a lot of people the first thing I do when I hear music from a site is to hit my mute button. One reason to not include it is just as Thomp stated, I believe people using dial-up would be deterred as the load on their connection with both flash player and music. This would cause a lot of people to with a slow connection to shop elsewhere.
The pictures of the products and the page designs themselves look great and are easy on the eyes allowing the customer to focus on what they are their for, to buy your goods!
On the "About Us" page, you'll need to correct the 2nd sentence of the 1st para (you we). Also on this page it doesn't tell me how the works are created and by whom. Most people would be interested in knowing that you are not reselling items from China (just a thought).
I think the site represents the business very well and I might have to do some ordering myself!!! Keep up the great work!

Hi Gary,
The pieces on the site looks great, beautifully done.I do have to agree with the others and the things they pointed out. I thought it was just me,,but for some reason it seems like it's double wide and I had to keep leaping basicall from side to side.Music is a personal choice,,for me though,if an opening page of a site is interesting enough to make me stay and look around ,and they have music,,I immediately mute it,as does Rocket,,..otherwise I just leave.I love music, listen to it all day,,but on a site for some reason, for me,doesn't seem to fit somehow, it annoys me after 5-10 seconds,,even a song I like, and it takes less time than that for someone to decide if they want to look at a site (according to web studies). Not that mine is anything to write home about,,but mine isn't for sales,,simply an online photo album.Don't make any changes though based on my opinion,,I'm sure I'm not normal...Great site ,,terriffic work,,and I wish you all the best ,,I know you 'll do just fine.
