Default My Lack of Participation: An Apology

<<Cross ed on the Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts message board>>

Hi Gang,
Just wanted to apologize for my lack of participation lately...and to apologize because it's not really going to change in the near future. Aside from being busy with magazine work (4 issues with back to back deadlines), my wife and I are in the process of adopting two brothers (2.5 and 5) and their brother who will be born in early July...

Thanks for your understanding. As soon as I get these magazine issues put to bed, I'll be active again. In the meantime, I'm working hard to get my shop set up (had to move all my tools out of my basement shop into the shed I've intended to turn into a shop for years--sharp tools and little hands don't mix)...so....

Best Regards,
Bob Duncan

What an absolutely wonderful thing you and your wife are doing! These children are coming into a great home and are blessed you are adopting them. Congratulations!

I'm a little nervous about going from 0 to 3, but we've been trying for almost 10 years (since our son died when he was 4 days old)....so...it's time!

Gee Bob, I sure am sorry to hear about your loss. I can certainly relate to the pain as I lost my first born son at three months old, to Cot Death, or SIDS as it now known. It is a good thing to adopt children and you are a braver than me by going for three straight off the bat. Congratulations and enjoy your time with them while you are able. The forum can wait for when you are ready to return. Take it easy friend. Joe.

Hey Bob, that is fantastic, there is nothing more rewarding in this world than Children. That is what its all about. We lost our first son when he was 10 months, and then raised two children, a boy and a girl, and they have been the joy of my life.(10 grandchildren) Congratulations, your doing the right thing !!!!!!!!!

It will be fun, We adopted our youngest over 5 years ago. I sometimes wonder what his like would have been like if we hadn't adopted him. He has major vision issues b ut he has overcome them well.
