Default My blog - since it's all the rage.

Well, everyone seems to have one so . . .

I actually created this blog nearly a year ago, but haven't really posted much, and I never publicized it. I've decided that it's time to add a link to it and hopefully, start posting to it more regularly. There isn't all that much there yet, but I have a few carving photos and some of my rambling thoughts on life, the universe, and . . . well, you know . . . everything.

Only for those who are not faint of heart.

Cheers!
ChuckT

Oh - yeah - link is below.

Hi Chuck, I looked at your site, and it looks great!
I made it a favorite so I can check back in on you later, good luck with the rambling thoughts!

Thanks Bob and Doris. One challenge I have now is that our digital camera died, so it makes it tough to share much of anything atm. I am going to try with my wife's cell phone which has a 3 mega pixel camera. Not sure I can get anything worthwhile from it though. So until we can afford to get a nice camera the blog may be a bit word heavy. (as it already is)

Doris - your and Mark's blog has become a definite favorite of mine. I await all your combined posts eagerly. Really nicely done.

Thanks again to you both for the encouragement and for taking the time to check out my rambling stream of conciousness posts.

Cheers!
Chuck

Ahh - well then right you are Doris. That's good to know. (So you've successfully stripped away my last excuse. <grrrrr>) LOL

So maybe later tonight I can get some pics of my bark carvings to post. (I am running around all day - church, graduation party, taking daughter to her week long retreat, etc.)

Thanks Doris! You're a great coach!!! :-)

Chuck, I wasn't desparate or bored at all by clicking on your blog. I really enjoyed it. I too am a salvage artist. I love Teak and Mahogany. My husband helped me salvage a wooden boat for carving.

Good job on the stories and the blog. How did you start your blog? Sign in to google? I have entertained the idea but haven't researched it. I have a website I started long ago for my stained, fused and art glass projects. But until recently, haven't added my wood addiction.

Sorry so wordy, must be the lack of coffee.

Can I copy your authenticity statement and rearrange it to make it mine?

Thank you so much for you kind words Wanda and for taking the time to look at my blog. It was REALLY easy to set up. There are two blog hosts out there that I have seen that seem to have the majority of the market share:
1. Wordpress.com
2. blogger.com

I didn't really know about wordpress.com when I set mine up. But blogger was super easy to set up. Sign up, pick a template, start posting! That's it.

I did a custom image behind my header (a photo looking north up the Hudson river, taken from an overlook across the street from our house on the side of Storm King Mountain). But other than that - it's all stock template stuff.

Sure, feel free to use my statement as you see fit.

Really like your hair sticks btw. That's so cool to have salvaged teak with a history behind it.

Cheers!

Hi Chuck,
Great blog, but aren't you worried we're gonna know more about you than you do. LOL Very nice and interesting site.

Hi Chuck, Thank you for the compliment on my hair sticks. I love salvaging wood. Who knows, maybe the wood spirits will treat me kindly if I ever get lost in the forest.

Do you worry about people knowing too much about you and your family? I have been a bit leary of putting up too much info online.
