Default My *Anniversary*

Yea coming up next month is me and my wifes ann-tie-vir-I-read.
I ask her,Sugar babe, would you likes sum more candy this year like last year? NO NO!! She shouted,Why not I ask?? Well you ate the whole dang candy bar! Yeaaaaaa But did you read the wrapper,it said,For Ever Yours!

I want the two walls in the living room covered in knotty pine wood! She said. Ok,no problem,I will get it at the mall,No! The dollar store dont have it!! We call the dollar store the mall, seeing its new to us here. Go to Earl's saw mill out on the hwy. Ok~ will do,I replied.

At the saw mill ,a man at the gate stopped me,What you want!! I needed some knotty pine boards to cover a 8 X 8 ft wall ands another at 8 X 12 ft wall. "Take her down at shed number 2" Ok thks, arriving at the shed,I started taken her down, ripping the boards off it till two big-o-boys shouted,What in the heck are you doing?? The man at the gate, told me take shed # 2 down for the boards I needed! Duhhhh~

Well I told thems the sizes I needed and they hung lumber out the back of my pick-up-truck past the tail gate, then more boards over the top of the trucks cab and ran ropes from there then through both my windows in my ole truck and back to the back bumper.

Ok,you are good to go! NO WAY!! Well thens they started tie-n red ribbons all over my truck. I hollar!! WAY A MIN. There!!! Looky here boys,Im not taken any ribbons cause I have even carved any of this wood yet!! They threw rocks at me,so I goosed my olde truck all the way home.

Arriving at the house, dang there was alots of boards,I unloaded thems from the truck to the kitchen table and across the four chairs I had lined up for this knotty pine wood. Plus had a big stack that ran over the arms of the couch, alot left over,so I opened the window over there and let the boards hang out the window.

When my wife gots home,She said, them look good buttttttttt have you saw if theys will fit? She said are theys tongue and grove?? I dont know,I replied! Wells get over there and ck them out, Ok Okkkkkkk I gots down beside the stacks of boards and ran my tongue into that grove, all the way down the 12 foot'er and back up!

Well, now my mouth, has I means alot of spiners in my mouth all the ways through my jaws,I feels like I ate 3 woodpeckers or maybe kissed a beaver!

I just gots back from the horse-pital and now I is ats the olde drunk dent-ists office.
So any of yall men that wants to make some good money helping me put up theses gosh-dang knotty pine boards, leaves your name below this message. By the ways,Im paying top dollar, 65 cents a day.

applys with in ; thanks 4's your help, Forrest

Well, Anniversary early, Forrest and to your Bride. I was cracking up reading your account of the mill trip and and your wifes question about size and tongue and groove. The part about the woodpeckers and kissed a beaver were so funny. I'm still laughing.
So all you men out there sign-up and give poor Forrest a hand with his knotty pine wall project. Me help, I'm busy for the next 10 years--anyway Forrest you wouldn't want me helping I'm all thumbs....LOL

Forrest, I knew there was a story coming about the knotty pine, but didn't expect the 'tongue & groove'.LOL Another good one, but we need to see pics of the finished project. And thanks for asking, I'm doing much better on the new meds, got clearance from the Doc and I start cardiac rehab this Friday. Got to be a story in there, don't ya think? Thanks for putting another smile on my face.

Dan
