Silence...blessed silence, other than the central heating unit kicking on now and then.

Kenny, your collection sounds a lot like mine!!! Beatles, Dave Clark 5, The Amimals, Peter and Gordon, Hermans Hermats, Petula Clark, Beach Boys, Union Gap, Hollies, Stones, Cher, John Denver, Neil Diamond, ....etc!

But I listen to New Age and Celtic stuff when I carve lately: Lorienna MacKennett, Enya, Celtic Women, Soundtrack from Braveheart. But also Celin Dion, Enrique Eglasies (sp?), Sara McLaughlin, Nora Young, Chris Khristofferson, Gordon Lightfoot and Neil Young. When I need a laugh, I put on "Buddy What's His Name and the Other Fella's"!!!

Music.......I love it.

Bob

Bob, pretty close to the same music. Not listen to any Celtic or river dance music. Now I do have the The Coasters,Johnny and the hurricanes, Danny and the Jrs,Duane Eddy, B Bumbles and the Stingers, Dee Dee Sharp,Del shannon,The Ventures, Buddy Knox, lesley Gore etc and etc. Listen to Enya, who have beautiful sounds and can listen to "Only Time" continuiously.
But have several from locals who have started on the Christians sounds like Jennifer Ellis, John Robbins, Brian Higday. A little gal by the name of Carrie Underwood. Sweet Girl and down to earth as can be. Ain't forgot her roots inChecotah Ok.
oppsss rattleing on eh?

Dave, I would have thought that at least you were around when dirt was invented.

I’m with Claude, I carve in silence with just my thoughts and the sound of the tools…well there is the occasional damit! And talking to myself
When I was the stonecutter at the monument shop I listened to rock and classic rock and contemporary Christian music. Now that I’m in the office, I’m talking all day with customers, vendors, funeral home, cemeteries, employees, etc. I just want peace and quiet when I can get time to carve, which isn’t much lately.

I mostly listen to audio books on CD or Library of congress tapes. I tried to listen to comedy CDs and about cut myself. If I listen to classical I'll go to sleep to boring . Iam not that sophisticated. I will also listen to country. I will lsiten to rock and roll of the 50s and 60s.

I've invested in Sirius radio - and NOT - for Howard Stearn (sp). We only get about 3 radio signals out here and I like the variety on Sirius - 90% of the time it's on C & W - Outlaw Country & the Classics - great stuff......
