Default More lighter subject

Billie, My little bride of 38 years, Knee surgery was a success and not as bad as original thought. The outside of her knee was fine and the inside cartlege was torn to where it was outside the chaanel inbetween the knee and bone. This was causing the pain and irratation and swelling. That has been corrected and now recovery. So far not much pain and if so, she will bare it as she isn't one who like pain meds. She is home and has had lunch and has been up twice on it, using crutches. No chasing the boys at the bar for 2 weeks or playing basketball with those same boys either for two weeks.

Answered prayer for sur. Thank all of you for you prayers and concern. Above all Praise God for his Grace.

I would have said two but I doubt she will wait that long

Hope she heals quickly

Sounds like you had an excellent surgeon, and that God guided his hands! Here's to a fast and happy recovery!

Thank you all, we apperciate you thoughts and prayers.
Billie had a rough night but is better today. Alittle more sleep and she would be better. Had a reaction to the pain pill last night. Totally different reaction than expected, so no more pain pills. She is a tough gal and always has been.
Guess she had to be, being married to me.
she is up walking on the the n\knee but using crutches for support, but batter than yesterday. We were surprised that the doctor told her to walk on it as most others, lay off it for a couple of days then light walking. He said to walk and the knee will tell you when to stop.
The doctor is a sport injury doctor and has a great rep so I have to take his word on what Billie is to do.

Again, Thank all of you!

Turseday, My injuried little woman decided that the crutches weren't working out , soooooooo, she put them away and has been walking without aid. Yesterday, she walked out to the garageand carport and back again and was on her feet more yesterday and today, She imformed me, I was taking he rto her local Scrapbook store. I ask if she needed something our daughter would be more than happy to get it. No, She wanted out of the house, so We drove the 20 miles and she shoped for about an hour, shprtest time I spent in a scrapbook store, and was ready for lunch. She said pick the spot, so Micky d's Is where we be going and I toldher anything on the value menu she could have. well, I can't repeat where she told me to go! The things that comes out of that woman's mouth. Good Gracious!!!!!
Anyways, I wound up taking her to a nice restaurant and then we came home. She did great but limped. Each day, she gets better. Maybe Better isn't the word I am looking for after what she said to me, Ok, stronger.
Thanks again for your prayers.

Glad to hear she's doing well. I want to know whats wrong with a value meal? Of course my wife won't even step foot in a Micky D's. Can you imagine the language I would get out of her if I offered to take her there for our anniversary.
Mel

We had a little set back yesterday after I posted the update.
Not a big one but enough to make my little bride realize she is not the superwoman she thought she was. Anyway, she will be sitting around today, with Ice paks on her knee.
We had been home foe about an hour when she hollered at me to help her up(she was on her pc in her scrapebook room. So I went in and her knee was twice the sizeas the other. Concerned, I called the knee doctor and after a couple hours his office call back and said that she waklked to much and that it was anormal reaction to that. However, if the swelling doesn't go down to come in to see him/
This morning it has went down some but NO SHOPPING TILLSHE DROPS for a while longer.

Thanks again all for your concerns and prayers.

Mel, I did that ONCE a few yeas ago, That is is why I post that little bit. Once in a while I'll take the Grandkids to Micky Ds but mostly because Micky D's still gives better prizes in their happy meals. You outght to see the clerk when I order 4 happy meals and there is only two Kids and two adults. Well maybe three kids and my wife. Micky D's isn't the fast food place that it once was.
I am still a Wendy's type of guy, or Arby's or Burger King or Capt D's or Quiznos orQuiznos or Quiznos,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Women are weird. Every man in the world knows this. Fresh out of surgery, and they want to go shopping. Yet they don't have the strength to dump the kitty box.

Mickey D was never the restaurant it wanted to be. After working in one for several months on maintenance, I'll never eat there, either. The things those kids do with your food...
