Default Meltonian shoe cream

I recently inquired on ebay about a bark carving that was finished using the Meltonian shoe cream. I haven't used it before and was wondering what shade to use and the seller responded with neutral. What I am wondering about is the seller said there is some lenghthy process he goes through when he uses the cream on his carvings. Is there a specific process. I would like to try this cream on my carvings since I have read a bunch of you guys recommend it. Also a source would be good to purchase some. Thanks!

I wipe it on and brush it off/buff with a shoe brush. I bought mine from Little Shavers.

Don,
Meltonian is great, I have been using it for a little more than 30 years. When I was told about I wasn't doing well with other waxes or any thing else.It was hard to find until I found a Western wear store,,,Neutral is the base for me and every other color, cognac is my best favorite... I guess Rick and Terrie LITTLE SHAVER would give the best price.

Hi Don,

We get ours at our local shoe store/repair. He has many other colours also but the neutral is the most popular at our club at least for the base.

He had so many coming in and asking for it, so he asked if he could know what we were using it for. So they brought a piece in and showed him. He like them of course. He thought it was probably for some kind of arts and crafts.

He said you wouldn't believe the variety of stuff he sells for that. He said it still amazes him what people come up with. Good ole ingenuity and creativity.

Just thought I'd suggest another source.

Blessings,
Tina
