Default I may change my dogs name....

...to Hoover.

He likes to come in the shop with me as I carve and I've discovered he is very fond of eating wood chips. He's even conditioned that when he hears me take a nice long slice with the gouge he comes right over and waits at the base of the vice.

I haven't swept the floor in several weeks and it's as clean as can be.

There is one side affect, however, and I'm noticing the basswood causes flatulence, so if you decide to give your mutts cleaning skills a try, just be sure you have proper ventilation.

Oh, well, at least my floor is clean.

Here's a pic of Max....uh Hoover...or whatever his name is.

Maybe you should try changing his diet to western red cedar. The smell might improve.

Angie is fond of Poplar and Pine. But she doesn't swallow. The chips always show up in the livingroom carpet, and I get blamed.

Mine do that too!! Three out of the six dogs love to grab a chip and off to the living room they go. I try to get them picked up as soon as I can tho.. I'm afraid of them getting one stuck in thier throat.

I had a pattern for something that I had lost.. looked high and low for it. Then I remembered one of the dogs were laying back there while I was working and now she was gone. I came to the living room.. she wasnt there, looked in the kitchen, nope, got to the bathroom and there she was laying against the tub with my pattern just hanging from her lips. Not even soggy.. just hanging. She was SO proud of herself for saving my pattern for me. *smirk*
