Default How many wood carvers are there?

Does anyone have a number or a guess? For the U.S., North America, the world? Does the government collect statisitics on wood carvers? Maybe the WCI folks know, or at least have an estimate of their target market. What's your guess? Mike

Easy enough to answer. How many people are there in the world? Subtract about 1/3 to allow for children and those too old to hld a knife or tool anymore. Subtract maybe another 10% for those few who think wood is something you burn.

I'd say all the rest carve wood at some time or other, even if only to make a spoon to eat with.
