Not a biker, but I do ride. Been ridin' for all my life. I've ridden everything...cruiser, dual sport, dirtbike, sportbike etc. Attached is a pick of my last bike. At least what's left. Lowsided in Big Bear. Full gear, walked away unscathed. Can't wait to get a new one. Probably a naked sport instead of an outright race bike.

Talking Re: How many bikers in the group

I have a friend who is a hard-core biker. He watches me carve and finally caught the bug when he saw my chipcarved eagle. Wants to learn so he can duplicate it with his clubs logo. He has been practicing and coming along pretty well. I get a kick watching this dude with full sleeves carving geometric patterns with a little knife.
I was going to tell him that in Europe, chipcarving is done mostly by women but I can't outrun this guy. LOL

You think the guy who started the thread would have remembered to share what he rides. The attached pic shows me on my HD 2000 RoadKing Classic.

I will keep this as short as possible. Thanks to all who responded, just another great reason to be a part of something as big and great as this forum. Not to trump the "what is family" thread, but the thing going on here in this community forum is family.

Daddio - That's a sweet ride, but you made the best choice by far.

David - Thanks for chiming in

Treewizard - a scooter is a scooter in my opinion, maybe we can get Forrest or Simon to carve you up one of those minature bikers to go with it.LOL

Mike - Love the side car, seeing alot more of those these days

Hi Ho - Glad you came along for the ride

Dmanning - sorry to hear about your mishap. As far as the sounds and the leather go, once its in your blood, Brother its in your blood.

Btree - As said before a scooters a scooter. Now some of my HD buddies won't agree, but we haven't agreed in years. I ride for the ride and I would ride with you anytime.

Safe Riding, Safe Carving, and as always God Bless,

Mark

Have been biking, wheelin', cycling, go-karting,and stump jumping since the 1960's.

Pic #1 Dirt biking in 1971
Pic #2 My dune buggy in 1975 (Modified VW w/53hp motor)
Pic #3 ATB bicycle in Cade's Cove, Smokey Mountains 2008.

I'm surprised that I'm still alive after all the tumbles, cuts, scrapes, and endless crashes.

Dave,
Glad you could join in as well. Thaks and thanks for the links to your sites as well. My son and I have watched you build that cabin at least a half a dozen times. We hope some day to be able to do something like that together.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

Hi Guys, Here is a picture of our three Harley's. Mine is a 91 Springer, Dick's is a 2000 Heritage classic that he rides on the Run for the Wall every year. CA to Wash. D.C.. I ride about 300 miles with them in the pack and I go home!
The last bike is our show bike that I designed for Dick. It has his Navy ship the Midway on the front coming at you, and going away on the stern( back fender) and on each side of the tank an eagle with a ribbon U.S. Navy and the otherside same only Merchant Marine. On top of the tank His Navy telegraph key and Dick Singer REO etc. It is a Dyna Wide Glide. I've got almost 60,000 miles on my Springer, she goes just great.

Phyllis,
thanks for joining in. Those are three beautiful bikes. That show bike sure is something. I love the history that goes with it. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
