Smile Makes me feel good.

As some of you know I have had several health problems over the past year and a half and haven't been carving as much as I used to and don't post on here as much as I would like too or as much as I once did.
A few months ago my family Doctor asked me if I would donate one of my "Woodspirit" walking staffs for a fund raising auction they were having for the Charleston Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV for new equipment they wanted to buy. I carved them two walking staffs a few months ago and they had the auction last week. They raised $260,000 and sold my staffs for $170.00 ! They sent a real nice letter thanking me and praising my "beautifully hand carved WoodSpitits".
Makes me feel good all the way around. Just thought I would share that feeling. Mike

Congratulations on the fine donations you made. Getting the thankyous and knowing they raised money for a good cause really can give you incentive to carve more.
Good to hear from you on the board.

Hey Mike, good to see you online again. We missed ya. Hope your health problems get under control and don't cut into your carving time as much. Carving is terriffic therapy, it gets the mind focused on something enjoyable and off the more unpleasant areas of life.

Great idea for a fundraiser, donating the sticks. Well done.

Bob
