Talking I'm curious...That's something I do often...

I love to look at everyones profile images. But out of curiosity, I am always wondering, who's pictures are they? Do you usually post your own work in there, or does anyone post their inspirations in there? Irishman...it was yours that made me finally ask...that guy in your picture is staring at me...wow...what a look!

Hi Keoma,

Do you mean my avatar or the guy sitting in the kayak that's posting in my profile...which is me by the way? If its the woodspirit in the avatar, yes he does follow you around the room doesn't he. He stands over 5 feet tall carved in birch. I carved it for a guy back in PEI for his cottage as a thank you for wood he gave me. He wanted it big enough for boaters to see when they went by his cottage. It takes two people to pick up that carving so he's big.

I Love that boot! I never had a thing for boots...but every time I see that picture I want to carve one...except I think I will make mine a Caulk boot! Bunches of Loggers 'round these here parts, ya know! can't wait to see more as you finish them!

My avatar is a logo I did for myself when I first started doing ships and carvings, way back when. I use it as a logo, on business cards, eventually will do a brochure, and on my invoice stationary,

It is a symbol of my name: Square (rigged) Brig (gs) or Squarebriggs, and old seafaring family, who once were traders and owned vessels and also owned a shipyard and built their own trading vessels in New London Bay, Prince Edward Island.

It works for me. Anything nautical I enjoy, ships I love to build, carve, sail and make images of. I'm just an old sailor who swallowed the anchor to settle down with his true love. I keep the sea in touch with me through my art. If I can't go to sea anymore, I'll bring the sea to me!
