| | Lynn Doughty Carvings Had the pleasure of view a couple of Lynn's caricature carvings today at Tulsa's Wood craft store. One was a cowboy Clock named Passing time andf the other was a convict busting rock and I don't remember the name of it. Excellent carvings.
BTW, I walked out of the WOODCRAFT store without buying a thing. Didn't have what I was looking for and no tupelo wood either. My little bride just about had a heart attack from mw not buying anything there. I was loooking for a certain brand name tools and about all they had was siome Japenese brand name tools. Well may have been chinese for all I know. I have notice the Tulsa store getting more of that stufff in. The Rameslon tools weren't much better. My old ones were better thatn their new ones.
Anyway, Excellent job Lynn.
Now they can't say themethere Okies can't carve. |

| | Re: Lynn Doughty Carvings Gee......Keep those compliments coming. Thanks. Appreciate your interest in my work.
About those two carvings...The little convict pounding that rock was setting atop a piece stone from the Meteor Crater in Arizona. I picked it up out there several years ago. They were both bought by the Woodcraft shop via Purchase awards at last years Tulsa show.
Again, thanks for the kind comments. |

| | Re: Lynn Doughty Carvings Hi Lynn
Great results with Curly Big Eagle . I had a raffle I used him on while I was in Ok. I was raising money to finnish stone work on my nephew and family's home . My niece was killed in an auto accident about 16 months ago and he took her two boys . Raised a total of $859.00 and I paid for the purchase . Boy I hated to see that carving go . But he has a good home in Kiamichi Valley SE Ok. As always just love and appreciate your work . Thanks Chuck |
