Default Lynn Diel

I know that many of the members are from the central part of the country and are friends of Lynn Diel. He has been teaching woodcarving classes for some time and is a familiar and friendly face to all of us in this neck of the woods.

Today I learned that Lynn has been diagnosed with renal carcinoma. He went to the ER with some back pain and nausea. They painted a pretty bleak picture of cancer having escaped and spread. Today he saw a Urologist and the current belief/hope is that the cancer is still contained in the kidney.

I had this same diagnosis in 1995. Last year the Urologist told me that he is releasing me back to my Internist. The cancer is considered cured and I am a normal patient from that aspect. So, there is hope for Lynn. But the diagnosis of cancer is a deep hole and almost impossible to climb out of on your own.

I don't think Lynn is a member; but, I am asking that those of you who know Lynn, or just want to wish him well, send him some good cheer and prayers at

carvers_creek@yahoo.com note that it is carvers_creek not just a space there.

He's a great carver. The power of prayers and thoughts are with him. Keep us posted.

Our best wishes and prayers go out to him Paul. Cancer is striking down so many in the world, young and old. Glad you are a survivor Paul!!! Keep on carving as long as you can in this life, and may you stay free of cancer forever!

Bob

Thanks for the heads up, Paul, I'll add Lynn, his family and loved ones to my prayers also. Hopefully his outcome will be as good as yours! Deborah

I sent Lynn an email and he answered, he is overwhelmed at the response and concern and especially the prayers, he is I am sure strenghtened by that, I know I would be....makes you wonder what those people that want to throw God out of the equation do when they are hurting and in need?

One thing I know is God* will sometimes use adversity to demonstrate His grace and Love for us.

Lynn, you will be in my family's prayers.

*God: Defined as the Most High God in Heaven [Heb. El Elyon], not mohamed, allah, mother earth, or some other man made figment of imagination.

"God has given him a name which is above every name – that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord…" Philippians 2:9-11.

I was certainly surprised to get a quick response. WTG Paul. They say the ole prayer chain is one tough chain to break.

Ken
I am humbled by the responses from folks and I am truly blest. I have some additional tests today and will know more by tonight. The kidney and tumor will need to go, but the tests are to find out if it is touching anything else.
Blessings
Lynn
