Default ...lucky again...

Well folks I got a call from the wife this morning after arriving to work...seems for the second time in a couple of weeks we have come out unscathed by the high winds...this is a picture of my sons car and a pine tree located at the end of my driveway...the car only suffered a bent antenae...

(...two weeks ago one of our willows came down missing the house by 8')

That must have been some wind. Glad no one (or property) got hurt.

We have the winds to day as well but so far no damage has been reported in this area.
There is a beautiful Lindenwood tree in the front of our house.

Wow! that was a close one. We got the winds last night (all night). At midnight the temperature was a around 50 degrees, the winds came 40 to 60 mph, and the temperature was 10 degrees this morning. Must be part of the global warming trend..

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

cats pa...ouch!!! hope that wasn't your vehicle!

...well it only took 2.5 hours to clean up in 20 degrees temps w/ a wind gusting to 45...top gust when the tree went down was 72 mph...

...feb, naw I don't want that much, hopefully your not on Tug Hill, although they are talking a mixed bag for tomorrow including ice (what the heck I still have 12 other trees...)

...Bart, I am considering some Lindenwood(Basswood) trees, my neighbor has some beautiful ones and since they are closely related to the maple they grow well in this soil...

Its also fortunate that the bent antenna was on the rear and not the front of the car. Must have been a mighty wind. looks like a big sturdy tree. Glad there was no serious damage.
