| | On Line Music If you like to whittle while listening to tunes, here's a neat link. It's free and you can actually train it to play the type of music you want to listen to. http://www.pandora.com/

| | Re: On Line Music Hey Sparks! I tried that website and they're shut down in some protest over internet radio royalty rights. It's hard to tell whether it's for "short time" or "long time!"

| | Re: On Line Music Sparks! It must of been a one day protest because like you say they are back on line. It looks like a neat site but unfortunately for us dinosaurs its a no go. They don't support dial-up connections, only broadband. Thanks anyway!

| | Re: On Line Music I will check back again someday to see if there is any classical added yet. As of now there is none. Neat idea though. Most times for online listening I visit www.mpr.org

| | Re: On Line Music AOL.radio.com is free and has every type of music on the planet.
I carve to xm 50 which plays the music of the fifties with DJ and requests.
Give it a try!

| | Re: On Line Music Juhani... Tried MPR and came up with the same problem...the streaming rate is greater than a dial-up connection, at least mine, can handle.
Papasar... Tried AOL and all I got was advertising.... If you've got a URL for the music I'd give it a try.

| | Re: On Line Music The artists want royalty fees. This was a one day protest and could mark the beginning of the ending of free internet radio. You can write and complain to your Congressperson but they are too busy ending the war, creating jobs, lowering gas profits, and fixing the health care problem. Wait that's the media trying to do that. Most if not all of these internet DJs provide the service for free, as a hobby and only accept donations. The major sites charge a fee for ad free radio, but for free I don't mind listening to ads. The thing that will be missed is the opportunity to hear different music you would never hear unless you pay for satellite radio.
