Chuck, I am sorry to see you step down. I really am. I really do apologize for the misunderstanding. You were in the right to step in and remind us all not to get carried away with the thread. I hope you continue to participate and stay with the forum. Your input is always welcome. Bob D., I for one appreciate what Fox Chapel does here with this forum. I am sorry for anything I said or did that caused Chuck to step aside. Sharon, I accept your apology and apologize to you if anything I said upset you. I really appreciate your participation here. You have been very helpful and insightful with regard to various wood carving issues. I always look forward to your comments. I first found this forum after finding the sister scroll saw site when I took that hobby up. I love the sense of community felt in these forums. The willingness everyone has to help others is what is good about this place. Again, I am sorry this all led to the loss of a good moderator. Ed

To thoroughly derail this post, I'd like to chime in. First to Chuck, sorry to see you go, but I understand. I'd like to say that I think you were perfectly correct in your actions in keeping the tread from going into the toilet. I hope to see you as an active participant from here on out. To Bob, I so appreciate what you guys are doing for the wood arts community with these forums. I've only been an active participant for a little less than a year, but always look forward to spending time with the community. I've been involved in a number of un-moderated forums over the years and have sadly watched most of them degenerate in to little more than flame wars with very little useful content. To all of the owners and staff at WCI, I for one certainly appreciate all you are doing for the arts community. Please keep up the good work. To all of the moderators, put on the Nomex skin and wade in whenever you feel the need. You may reap the ire of one or two individuals for a short while, but know that the rest of us are standing solidly behind you. I really want to see these forums continue for a long, long time to come. |
