| | Just returned. Hi folks,
Just returned from a short get-away with Mrs. Squbrigg, first in many years, long overdue! We relaxed, pampered ourselves, ate too much, shopped and even did some carving, of course. We did visit an art gallery/exhibit and was amaized and inspired.....the "Rodin" exhibit. Seeing his work in person, like "The Thinker" or "The Kiss" , compared to seeing an image of it in a book is totally different. Man could that guy sculpt! I know it's not wood, (a shame) but what he could do in clay and then bronze is..... breathtaking!
Also got to see some other great work, a Ned Bear "Mask" in wood , and some fantastic Inuit stone carvings.
Nice to get away, but even nicer is the feeling when you return home.
Missed you all while I was away,
Bob |

Nah bob, missed ya. Glad you had a good time. I am planning on one of those type of trips but I am planning on leaving the Mrs here. Any bets on how that will go over.
Nah, we are looking in to Elk City Ok and the Bishops class in Oct or Sherman Tx and a Danny Reb class if he has one in the near future. |
