Default It's as good as they say...

... in Western Canada, apparently. Several folks here (and on a Yahoo group I frequent) have long said Western Canada was the place to be; I see a recent census bears them out- for the first time in history the population in W Canada exceeds the East? I confess I did not read the entire news story, hope I got it right. I'll have to visit there one of these days.....

Must be something good out there; half the population ( well a lot anyway) from atlantic canada have moved out there in the last 5-10 years. I guess there's big $$$ to be made in northern Alberta and British Colombia in the oil industry. But if life has taught me anything; it's.....................money ain't everything. I'm staying here where I can see and smell the good old atlantic ocean

And that can be a shame. Sometimes people move to another part of the country to escape something and bring it with them. I hope western Canada stays just the way it is.
