If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert , in five years there'd be a shortage of sand.

My wife says we are flying, so that settles that.put a yellow ribbon on your fence and I'll wave to you, we are landing at nashville and getting into a car and driving to memphis staying a few days and then driving back to nashville and going to a concert . staying a few days and then flying home.I'll wave to you again. while we are on the subject ......Have a merry Christmas.

Jim I have been to both places and if you are in Memphis Graceland is a must you have to go visit the King. Nashville I would suggest the Grand Old Orpre I am not a country fan but loved the music and the experience now I am a little bit country and a little bit rock n roll. Have a great and safe trip look forward to hearing of your adventure.

When in Memphis, allow some time for Mud Island.

Especially recommend their museum and river walk.

Jim,
I just bought a place south of N'ville 70 miles and haven't explored the area much yet, but I hear Dollywood has some great woodcarvers and carvings...not even sure where it is. Keep this thread alive every now and then til you're leaving, and there will be lots of leads for you by then. Where we bought (Lawrence Colunty) there are lots of Amish furniture builders, but they lean towards simple strait looks.
