You keep your head down Fred! I was just a kid in 1954 when New England got hit by two Hurricanes one right after the other but I remember the damage and I've still got a book of photographs that my Dad bought showing the damage on the Cape. Then the following year New England got hit again by two hurricanes that caused massive flooding and damage. I was away at summer camp and stranded because all the roads and bridges were out. It's been quite a few years since New England's seen those kind of storms.

Stay safe material things can be replaced, you can't. My boss used to say if you think you can't be replaced take a walk past the semitary.

Friday morning 7:50 am...........Looks like Earl will be here sometime early tomorow morning. The forecast is that it will be downgraded to a catagory 1 by that time , but still lots of rain. I live right on the coast, so close that I can stand on my back deck and throw a rock into the atlantic ocean............ time to batten down the hatches..........

Earl turned NE just in the nick of time to miss us in NC.We had about 40 -60 MPH winds and quite a bit of rain. The only damage I've seen was my mater plants blowed down and a new supply of skeeters.Hope everyone North have good luck too.Tony
