Don't mean this as a plug, but our new Prius gets just under 60 mpg on the highway (granted, that's at 55 mph with no cargo weight)......about 10% less with e-15. And that's what the mfg recommends...gonna hafta check on that. No-e runs a nickle a gallon more here, but at $4.17 a gal, that nickle is only a 1% increase, so it's still a 9% savings using e-free.

Corn is for flakes!

BTW Volkswagen has SMALL diesel engine that gets amost 80 mpg, is as quiet as a similar sized gas engine, and is lower in all emissions (CO, NO, etc) except particulates. Europe says they are OK there, but VW can't sell them here untill the particulate emission is corrected. huh????

Funny I'm building one of these for a friend of mine. it's a 70cc motored bicycle and it gets something like 150 miles per gallon. It may take a while getting there at a whopping 20 mph but if you are commuting local it isn't a bad trade off.

Sure would hate to haul a load of lumber on that for sure.
Maybe the solution is to allow drilling off the west and east coast. After all the iranians and Cubans are!
