Birthday Kathy,,,Jeez,,,you had to get the whole fire dept to help you put out all those candles??? WOW! what a blaze and a column of smoke!

Birthday Kathy - this almost slipped by me too - busy packing for our move in less than 2 weeks.

Thank you for posting that picture, please know my thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved and affected by the fire. Went through that a couple of years ago in the Okanagan.

Stay safe and I do hope you enjoyed your birthday in spite of the fire.

Hello, All:
I'm over whelmed by all the Birthday Wishes, THANK YOU ALL so much!
You all are such super folks and I feel so lucky to be a part of this fine WCI Message board.

The fire is still at 0 containment, the town is still in peril more homes are being lost. It's such a hard fire to fight due to the terraine. The winds yesterday would push the fire toward the town, then turn around and push it away from the town. Now it's pushing back toward the town with 1/4 mile. Everyone is giving a 110% to save this area, but firefighter and support team lives come first. Hubby, is home now, but expects to go back out again.

PS: Contrary, to what some of you are thinking, the candles on my BD cake didn't start the fire. LOL

Birthday Kathy! Don't know how I missed this thread? I thought you weren't going to have anymore birthdays? ....didn't know about the fire either...geez, I need to quit taking naps ha ha...what town is that near?
