I just finished a book called "The Stone Carvers" by Jane Urquhart. It takes place in the late 1800's early 1900's in Canada and Vimy,France, and is about a family of wood carvers who also learn to carve stone. It is a very moving and wonderful story. I think anyone who loves carving would love this book. You can get a used copy really cheap on Amazon.
