| | Great News on the Homefront! Hey All!
Well, after 2 trips to the hospital yesterday, and the ENT on Tuesday, I've got great news!
First, my son's getting tubes put in his ears early Monday morning. This is such a relief. Poor little thing cries every night in pain and during the day constantly holds his ears. We were going to take him to the Childrens Hospital, but the soonest they would see him was April! We remember our daughter going thru the same thing for 5 months and it was heartbreaking. We're so happy to have found an ENT who could take him so soon.
While seeing the doctor, I had my ears checked for that ringing. Turns out, he said my ears are in perfect shape and not only that, the audiologist who tested me said my hearing was above average! He said that ringing was probably just due to congestion and a head cold at the time.
Anyway, just wanted to thank you all again for advice and concern a few weeks back when I wrote. I had considered cancelling my appt, but your messages kept coming back to me so I figured it wouldn't hurt to get them checked out.
I'm just so happy to have Nicolai taken care of and can't wait to see him rest easy.

We went thru the ENT thing with both boys many moons ago, it is not a fun thing for anyone! Glad that worked out!

Now Missy, no excuses on not hearing your children or hubby. Of course you could have the hearing I have. Selective! |

That's great news all the way around! And if it makes you feel better, Nicolai will fully recover. One of our Sons had tubes put in when he was around 3 or 4. His hearing's perfect now at 28. He'll be fine! Get some sleep tonight!

| | Re: Great News on the Homefront! If you can find them get Doc's plugs! They are about $10 a pair and they work great. I have some for my ex husbands, my Moms, and ex- inlaws, 2 pair for here, and a spare in my purse. Even at that quanity they cost less then custom plugs and at this age they grow out of them fairly quickly for the cost. My Michael can hear so much better with his tubes! Except when they clog up with wax, but he has been like that since birth! Then he really has en excuse that he can't hear me. Anyway, many postitve thoughts are being sent your way from one parent to another!!!!!!!! |
