| | Re: Great News on the Homefront! That is great news, Jillsy! Sure hope that helps your little guy out. And your hearing is good too? Wow! Wish mine was......25 years of sitting in that patrol car with the siren howling and radio blaring in my ear left me with about 35%, so be thankful for your good hearing.....I know what it's like to be without!

| | Re: Great News on the Homefront! Jillsy, I'm glad there is relief in sight, my youngest son suffered terribly with ear aches when he was little. I know how heartbreaking it can be!
Appreciate your fine hearing now, by the time the kids are all teenagers it will be diminished.....it's okay though, you'll want to not hear everything at such a good level by then! Deborah |

| | Re: Great News on the Homefront! jillsy,
glad to know things are on the potential for relief in your house ans yall will soon be on the road to recovery
just wanted to add, recently i was stricken with a fever 101-104 for 7 days, and when i took Motrin or Tylenol my ears rang like a bell for 24 hours, aspirin - Advil - aleve didnt have that effect,
if you are on ibuprofen (sp) talk to the doctor and see if you can get away from it to see if the ring goes away, tylenol & motrin have to be taken for several days to achieve relief as the drug has to buildup to take effect, so you wont see any effect if you just stop taking it one or two doses...
but check with a person with medical knowledge on this i may be repeating a myth i heard...
sorry spellchecker didnt help |

| | Re: Great News on the Homefront! Thanks everybody! Got a call yesterday that the surgery will be 8:00 am Monday. Nurse said to just take him right out of bed and to the hospital. Can't wait til we can sleep again!!
Thanks for the prayers too; as much as we look forward to getting this done, it's always alittle scary putting a baby under anesthesia.

| | Re: Great News on the Homefront! Thats good news Jillsy! I'm just coming out of a two week ear ache too...and I sure feel for your lil guy! I will be sending up prayers from now until I hear he's home and ok.
One other thing.. after my friends daughter had her tubes in, everything in the house made lots of noise and she would cover her ears again. We all thought the tubes didnt work only to find out all those noises were new and loud to the lil girl. |

| | Re: Great News on the Homefront! ![006[1]](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/006[1].gif) 's home safe and sound. Took a three hour nap this afternoon when he got home from the hospital. That's the first time in months he slept for that long a time-span. We're pretty drained, but hopefully we'll all be getting some much needed sleep now!
Thanks for all your kind words and prayers.
