Default Good Weather !!

Everybody has been talking about the storm lately
thought I would spread some good weather around Sunshie and blue sky in the South land. But we did escape the ice the week end. Still would like to see some snow. I'm just a weather nut if you watch the WEATHER CHANNEL MORE THE 3O min.

Seems that the weather is changing here in California again. Starting to warm up a bit after our cold spell. The wind is getting pretty bad though up to 40-50 mph gusts.

Some of you folks in the middle parts of the country may laugh, but we have a weather situation here in central Ohio. Seems we are in the midst of a major snow event. The State trucks dribbled tons and tons of salt solution on the roads last night, snow plows are prowling the roads in antipation of the 1/5 inch of first snow of the winter. Every local TV channel started the evening broadcast last night with tips that will save your life when driving in these horiffic conditions. Gotta go now! Quick to town to stock in bread and other emergency supplies. Pray for us...Tom H

Ya know, Tom, that first 1/5 inch of snow for the season, puts more cars in the ditch than a 2 foot blizzard, even around here in the UP where we're used to tons of snow every year. So those ODT warnings on the road conditions aren't so far out of line, especially around areas where you have expressways. We do have some 4 lanes with center turn lanes here, but our local road commissions are considering turning them all into 3 lane highways. Hmmmmm.......seems to me like back in the early 60's we did away with the three lanes as the most dangerous type of roads there were. Back to the future????

Charlotte,, Thank you very much. I am asking my wife to read your response. Wife must have a death wish. She actually expects me to go out in this weather and take her out to dinner. Oh, that 1/5 inch of snow is now all blown into 1/2 inch drifts. Yikes.. Tom H

Well Tom, Looks like the weather will change and head up I 40 to Tulsa and then on up I 44 from Tulsa to Joplin , Mo then on up I44 to St. Louis. Predicted 8 inchs of snow north of I40 and i I44 and possible mixture of ice and snow south of them. Look out Lynn!
Of course the weather man has been wrong before. But the last two major stroms they were spot on. Be prepared.
