Good Morning all! How about another Silly Saturday Question? For your morning wake up, what do you like to drink? Coffee (straight or creamed/sweetened)? Tea (straight or creamed/sweetened)? Juice (flavor), or Pop (flavor)? This morning my wake up beverage was carrot/pear/yogurt/banana smoothie. First time for me to try that mix.... not so sure about that flavor yet. The banana made it very thick. Have a super day today folks!! Marcia |

After posting and getting such a tummy ache I think I'm going to leave early morning bananas alone too... uffda. My coffee time is in the afternoon.. then I'd like a cuppa with cream and sugar. That will get me to midnight. ![]() Marcia. |

Morning coffee is a ritual that I seldom miss. I can't even remember not drinking coffee. When I was growing up, children drank it with lots of cream and sugar. I have toned down the additives, but have not gotten over wanting them in there. Coffee is so important that I had it (Community Coffee - dark roast) sent to me, by relatives, at most of my assignments. Except Alaska, where a local roasting company made a brand called "black gold" which was comparable (both about like espresso). I used to buy old drip coffee pots at antique stores.....don't like percolated. Now, I use one that is similar to the commercial set ups used in stores. Decaf and instant are pretend coffee. Yep, also like it strong. If you can see the spoon after it breaks the surface.....it's waaaaay to weak. Don't even think about trying to use the grounds for a second go round. I make a pot for me, drink that, and then help Diana with the second pot. The day can't help but be good when you start it off this way. |

What Paul said! But when my old Grandpappy lived with us he used to keep a bottle of Black Jack Daniels behind the bedroom door in case he woke up feeling bad. He sure must have felt poorly all the time. Doug |

Paul, that Louisiana community coffee followed me around the world in care packages in my service days, but now a days it seams too strong fer my yankee raised innards, especially the chicory, finely found out that it was the culprit that kept me stocked in antiacids and kept me entered in the little brown building dash! remember i was a implant here in 71, serve it strong, if i wanted to read through it i would have ordered tea!, Hey momma, just stack me another cup of that coffee up on the side of the table and give me a knife to cut it off occasionally

Can't drink coffee, love it, but it makes me real hyper. I drink a glass of water first thing, sometimes two, and then a cup of Black Tea.
