Re: Gone for a while Garry, I guess that is why I do carve a varitiy of differnt types of pieces. Caricatures, some realistics, some just plaim stylized, Cottonwood bark houses, what have you. There is no perfect face, eyes, nose. Just that =perfection in the eyes of the beholder. None of mine will ever be considered perfect but then, I am not striving to be "The Perfect Carver". I know no perfect carvers. So whatever you are working on, in your head and I know, you want what ever it is to be perfect, get back to carving dude. You are to good of a carver to back away from it.
Mine is still sharpening knives and gouges even though mostly they are sharp, but then, Phil Bishops said something to me that has been surfaceingsince the classwith them also. I appreciate Phil for his comments.
