Our good friend Gene Messer needs our thoughts and prayers.
He lives near Galveston, the hardest hit area from Ike.
He is a wonderful fellow carver and a gentleman many of us are lucky enough to call friend.

I've had the opportunity to spend some time with Gene and have to admit, he is a great guy and a huge inspiration. If you enjoy what he does on the board you should sit down with him over a cup of joe. I sure look forward to doing that again! If I know Gene, he's right out there in the middle of everything trying to do what he can to help his friends and neighbors. Keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers a well as his neighbors and friends. I'm sure the work he is doing there is touching as many lives as he does on this board!
