MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

feb,

how do you view the email...do you use an online email provider, like gmail, or hotmail, or do you use a normal email client like outlook express or thunderbird? I have seen certain email that cause this, and we're trying to work through the issue from our end, I just trying to see if you get hit with the same issue as the one I currently know about.

Feb: Sounds to me as if your email application is set to only show text. I suspect the Fox Chapel emails have html (photos, etc.) in them and these will show up in an email as a big bunch of numbers and letters and stuff.

Yes, generally our email are HTML (about 80% of the time). Some in the past have accidentally included some of Microsoft's proprietary code because the text was first authored in MS Word then copy and pasted into our email templating system. I have seen a few email readers which don't correctly hide this and it causes what this issue sounds like. I'm trying to address this issue from our side as this hidden code shouldn't get in the email, as it serves no functional purpose.
