Default Found an early carving.

Hi folks,

I just returned from visiting my parents for a few days, over on Prince Edward Island, and came across one of my old carvings. It was one of the first relief carvings that I had done, maybe 20 years ago or so, back when you could still buy Mahogany this wide. ( 18" or 20" X 13" ) It looked pretty good, so I snapped a picture while I could.

Back to trying to catch up on all the messages ...... you folks have been busy as usual. Nice to visit, but good to be home!

Had an interesting conversation with a lady at a restaurant while travelling, she spied my cane (the Hawk's Head one) and she had to have a peek. When I mentioned the dragon's head cane, she ordered one on the spot....sight un-seen! I size'd her there, set the price and wood type. You never know what your day will bring!

Good to be back.

Bob

Very nice work, for an early carving, Bob! Nice lines, good balance, and great execution! Looks like you were truly destined for the sea.
