Post Forwarding E-mails the proper way!

How often do you get forwarded Emails, & it take about 3 to 4 clicks before you can read them. You also have to scroll down about a mile of adresses to get to the subject, frustrating isn't it.
Here's how I forward my mail.
I click forward , & when it opens, I erase all of the addresses at the top of the message, then click send.
It doesn't take to much effort to do this, & you won't be sending all of your friends addresses to who knows were. It'll give all of your friends a little more security also.
How about that?
Dick

When I get senseless forwarded mail I add the sender to my Spam blocker. It works wonders and only takes one click.

On the serious side you have to be very careful opening forwarded email. If someone along the way has a virus or spyware on their computer it is a very good chance you will get it on yours opening all the forwards.

Dick I agree completly nothing I hate worse is when someone forwards me something with all those email addresses on them. You are right I always delete all that stuff not only do I not want it but it elliminates you from recieving all the spam and virus that are attatched to some of those addresses. Good point.

I don't like to open forwarded emails. May contain viruses? Most are full of spam. If it's from someone I know , I am still hesitant to open it. If I were a spammer, this would be a good way to get a lot of email addresses.

Post Re: Forwarding E-mails the proper way!

Hi Dart,
Thanks for your input.
My ISP has built in Spam Blocker & Virus Scan, & I don't open any emails that haven't been scanned. I enjoy reading some of the fwds from my friends.
I still recommend erasing all the addresses at the top of Fwd. emails, & everybody should tell there friends to do the same.
It will help in a much safer internet by not spreading everybodies addresses around.

Dick

Be very careful opening any attachments with your e-mail. The attachments are not scanned by your security software.

E-mails with attachments are deleted unopened here! Been down that road !
