This forum is definately very different from the Bonsai forum I belong to....
People start fights with each other, threads get closed down regularly and people get banned altogether from that forum for bad behavior. I post once in a while but after a couple of rather curt replys to a post where I had given someone an opinion on a tree (which is what he asked for and I was nice about it) someone else posted a rather rude reply so I haven't posted since then. A lot of big Egos there.

Thank God things here are different. It's a great place to hang out.

I agree I attend other forums and sometimes ego's really get in the way. This forum is a tight knit group who are all supportive of each other. I for one really love to see the different talent that is on this forum. If we all did the same thing it would be awful boring. The diversified talent on this board makes it very unique.

I've also noticed the same "kind" consistency (by far & large) about this forum over the last few years and it is most always a comfortable place to visit. Personally, I like a good and heated civilized debate especially when it comes to politics and/or current events but there are plenty of "other" forums where I can meet those needs with welcomed arms.

WCI is one of my retreats where I can relax and discuss a beloved hobby... no matter how you feel about social policy. As hard as it might be at times, let's try to keep this place the special "sanctuary" that it has become.
