Default The Field Museum in Chicago

Hi all, A couple of friends and I jumped on the electric train yesterday and went to the Field Museum in Chicago and the train ride only cost $7.oo one way. It was great! So much to see and so little time to do it, but very enjoyable. We spent the entire day looking at the exhibits from early North American man right up to the present. The only bad thing is when you see the fantastic work that the 'Ancients' did without modern tools, its a little humbling. If you ever get the chance, go there, I promise you'll enjoy it.

Dan

Museum of Science and Industry was always my favorite. Some displays stay the same and some are changed, each time you go back something is different.

The Museum and Science Center is a fantastic museum, it houses the only u-boat to be captured.

BUT in this case Dan is talking about the Field Museum which in itself is something completely different. It is one of the leading archealogical museums in the world and houses the most complete T-Rex skeleton in the world (Sue).

Both museums are fantastic, the Museum and Science Center is a wonderful place to take the kids as a lot of things are hands on. It has a real coal mine as part of the exhibit.

All-in-all, Chicago has better quality museums than most of the Smithsonian museums (big disappointment there...)

Glad to hear you had a great time Dan, its an awesome place!!
