Default Feedin' the little birds

Hi all,
During the winter months one of the first things I do after daylight is to go out and feed the birds. I generally feed the little ones by hand for several minutes because as soon as I walk away the larger birds, bluejays, cardinals and woodpeckers and especially the squirrels take over. Here are a few pics of some Black Capped Chicadee's & Tufted Titmouse that "make my day". Hope you enjoy them.
Dan

Feeding the birds by hand is something I have wanted to try. Thank you for sharing your pics!

Thank you for posting those pics, wonderful, I start my day feeding the birds, but not in such a fine manner as you.

That's so wonderful Dan! I wish I could get the birds to do that but they all fly away when we come outside.

Glad you're enjoying the pics. I've been doing this for several years but it definately takes patience, "fowl" weather and no other food in sight. Each morning I put enough food out to last the day but by morning its all gone so they have to come to me if they want any food. Take your time, stand completely still with your hand full of feed, eventually they will trust you. Adding an "in flight" pics, looks almost like a ghost.
Dan
