Default Dropped in WCI Today.

Had the opertunity to stop in WCI Headquarters today. An old building full of freindly people nesteled in a quaint old town. Bob D gave me the $1.00 tour. Got to see how the great books and magazines gets edited into what we see as a final product (had a hard time getting a scoop on some of the next articles but I do know its some of our freinds from the forums) They are getting a great little workshop together. Some nice carvings on display. BoB better watch taking Santa up that old elevator theres weight limits you know! Just beatiful country up there. They have a picture of an old treadle scroll saw on there T shirts. Heres A picture of the Saw I have.

Thanks BoB and the rest of the freindly Staff a WCI.
The Goodys

PS. I told the cows there was Trolls under the bridge. Ill be darn if they didn't go looking for them!

Is that the WCI building behind the bridge?

Those cows really do look like they are looking for something..how cute.

I know I'd stop in too if I was in the area. That would be a fun tour.

Typical cows. One goes looking around and the rest follow, just in case.

That treadle saw is interesting. My grandad had one something like that abunch of years ago.

Goodie, this to cool what a fun visit you had to WCI head quarters. Somehow I pictured WCI would be in a large cement building in a large city. Just goes to show ya my picture was all wrong.
Bob D your building is far better than I imagined for sure!

The pictures in my post were just some of the great countryside we went thru on the way home. Thier building is an old brick building. Once inside it constructed of old big wood beams and old oak floors. Maybe we could get Bob to do a small article on the building in one of the Issues. Heres thier building.

Hi Goody,
I had the pleasure of stopping by there last summer while I was vacationing with two teenaged grandkids. Like you, we were warmly welcomed by a bunch of friendly WCI folks. What a neat experience and so cool to be able to put faces with names we see here and in the magazine. It's an experience I recommend to anyone who goes anywhere near their corner of Pennsylvania. Beautiful area and beautiful people.

I've said it before, I just wish a whole bunch of us could get there at one time for a good ole fashioned carving fest, although with as much talking as we'd do, I'm not sure how much carving would get done!!! It's about an 18 hour drive from here...(sigh) but maybe someday.
