Thanks for sharing. Hard to believe its drift wood they're using until you look closely. Takes a special eye to do that kind of....wood shaping.

Back in 2001 we took in the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin. They have a bronze reproduction of one of these driftwood sculptures. Not only was the horse done exquisitly, we really had to examine the bronze closely to tell that it was not really driftwood. The casting of the metal was every bit as beautiful as the sculpture itself. I have some photos around somewhere of the horse, but I can't find them.

Some of these are duplicated in bronze at the museum in Denver as well. My girlfriend was stunned by them. We spent hours in the courtyard while she drooled over them. Really very stunning in person. They have a presence to them.

Those are fantastic!! The ones showing the horse at a distance look like he forgot to put his hide on before he left the barn.
