Hang in there Dan. Do what they tell you to do. I had some heart problems in 2004 and have done OK since.

Like Herb said, hang in there, Dan. I've been on a low salt, low fat, low carb, low taste diet since I had my quad bypass in May. Other than the no-fun-eating, I'm doing great. Try for low stress: more wood carving, less television.

Dan,
You are a lucky man. This was a warning. My husband's whole family suffer from heart problems, including my husband... By-passes, stents, one heart attack.... You will be well again and you have the chance to correct your diet and probably never have a problem again. Thank goodness you didn't need a by-pass this time around. (hopefully, there will be no next time)
It was a blessing in disguise. Take care of yourself. You will be good as new in a little while.....life is good. We're all rooting for you.

Glad you are better now Dan.. You know the old saying.." Inch by Inch everthings a chinch" "And this too shall pass.." It's amazing how we can look back over our lifetime and become amazed at the things we overcame. You take care and you will be looking back soon at this.. Charlotte

Take care of yourself Dan.

When you get back to carving, remember to wear that glove and thumb guard!
